I would like to thank all my FRIENDS for the wonderful Birthday Wishes!!

You are all so special to me even though I spend little or no time on here anymore!!

For awhile there I was beginning to think that if it weren't for bad luck we (my family in general) wouldn't have any luck at all. I have since discovered that someone is definitely watching over us. My husband just went through cancer surgery and the good news is that the surgeon got it all. I don't want to go into too many details, but things went a lot better than originally thought. We are happy campers.

Long story short, thank you for all your kind words and birthday wishes...they couldn't have come at a better time!! The other thing: If you are over 50 or have had colon cancer in your family......get your colonoscopy, it could save your life!!!!

You see, my Mother is in love with Anthony's zoo photography. Everytime she comes over she asks to see his latest photography!

I don't know what has possessed me to put this up now...never did it before, but here goes. These are a few of the first deviations I

A couple of the deviations are obvious and received DD's and they belong to wonderful artists whom I respect and follow to this day!

One belongs to an absolute unknown and I just saw today that the deviation never received another

On Friday I dropped my D300 whilst trying to get it out of the tripod! Yes, I'm a clutz, always have been. It landed right on my nikkor 105mm's nose! It still focuses manually, but the autofocus doesn't work! Actually, it focuses when using the 105mm, but it won't autofocus on my 18-200mm!

Then yesterday I dropped my terrabyte book with all my pictures...it cracked, fell apart but my son put it back together and it's still working!

Tomorrow my camera is going to the doctor and I hope it's something I can actually have fixed.

Hello my dearest friends,
I would like to thank you for all the kind words and for the support while I fight my way through getting back here.

It’s not easy!

While I was away, I also had the pleasure of meeting ~CandiceSmithPhoto Candice and ~PhotonPhreak Corey! It was Candice’s birthday and they drove down to my part of Florida to spend the day at Metrozoo!!

………………H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y C A N D I C E !! She and Corey got to see the new Amazon and Beyond exhibit (me thinks they liked it)!

We spent quite a bit of time trying to get a good shot of the jaguar, but he was so sitting right between the bars and not moving for anyone!!! Not even Corey, who literally tried everything to get a good shot! Mr Jaguar was most amused by us!

Hello everybody and welcome to my journal!

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. To you, I'm Koni and/or ~sametimenxtyr ...to me, well....I just spent an awesome evening and day with two people from my "friends" list and had so much fun that hubby had to console me for the first 5 minutes of our trip back home. Yes, I was crying like a baby and didn't want to come home just yet! I wanted to hang out with Alice and Bob aka *LadyAliceofOz and *MarquisDeAhhs !

I have been friends with

for what seems to be "forever" and never ever thought I would be meeting them in person, but when the opportunity came up there was no hesitation!!!

My hubby, not a DA person, heard my plea about going to meet my "friends" at Sanibel-Captiva, FL and thought I was thoroghly out of my mind!!!!

You know how it is with

people...you had better go along with them 'cuz you never know!!! So my hubby, Chuck, went along with this

person and off we went to Sanibel! To make a long story short...too late.....I heard Chuck talking to Bob about needing some time off and he was sure we could meet them " I have no idea where" !! If it hadn't been for the HEAT, we would have had a perfect trip!! It was too darn hot to be out shelling or anything else for that matter!!! the beach water was like bath water! I wasn't even taking pictures....I was mostly yapping with Alice!! Thank goodness Bob took a picture of Alice and myself, because I forgot to. I took pictures of birds like I usually do and just took Bob and Alice for granted!

Share My Good Fortune

I submitted one of my photographs Feathered Elegance to fotoblur magazine and ended up in issue 2!! I ordered a few (hah million) copies and they arrived yesterday. It's for real! Just a note to say I am at The Boulders in Carefree, AZ!!! This is heaven!! I went to Taliesen West yesterday and am getting ready to go to Sedona!!! Life is wonderful!!!

Hi everybody

Sorry if I haven't answered all messages and am a little behind on the deviations, but I've been having Photoshop problems and I've been having fun!!!

Let's go for the fun part....I went to photography gathering with Adam Jones, one of 78 Canon Explorers of Light!!! Listening to him talk about his travels to so many places around the world and getting to see his photography was awesome!! I wanted to sign up for the 12-day all inclusive cruise/tour to China!!!

Btw, there I was, Nikonian all the way and traveling to the "dark side" to enjoy a Canon Explorer of Light workshop!!
